About Us

Founded by Gul in London and now based at Startup Barreiro in Portugal, Wenlin Studio is a heritage textile design practice. The studio takes inspiration from traditional Indus textile techniques, such as Gindi, Phulkari embroidery, and ancient Ajrak natural dyeing for contemporary design. The studio creates embroidery kits and works with artisans in Punjab and Sindh, Pakistan to create embroidered pouches with handwoven fabrics from Kamalia. Each collection focuses on preserving traditional crafts while ensuring fair support for the artisans who practice them. Products are finished, packaged, and shipped from Lisbon, Portugal.
