PDF Gindi Needlebook Digital Pattern
The Gindi Needlebook pattern, created by Gul E Raana, is inspired by the rugged heritage of Gindi stitching. This project features the layered freedom of the folk-style of hand-stitching to create a functional home for your sewing tools.

Finished Size: Compact portable size (approx. 8 x 13 cm folded) (28 x 13 cm unfolded)
Stitches: Running stitch (Gindi/Kantha), Straight stitch
Thread Recommendation: High-contrast embroidery floss thread.
What You Will Receive:
- Full-Scale Pattern Blocks: Black-and-white illustrations for Blocks A, B, C, D, E, and F. The templates are conveniently divided into 4 A4 sheets at the end of the file. Print at home, and you’re ready to go!
- Detailed Assembly Diagrams: Visual guides for layering, pocket placement, and closure attachment.
- Textural Close-ups: High-resolution photos showing the Gindi stitching detail for reference.
How it Works: Print the 4 A4 pages at actual size. Measure against the dimensions provided on the pattern to ensure the scale is accurate before cutting your fabric.
Transfer: Follow the template blocks to cut your fabric scraps and main body. Use the marked spots on the pattern to accurately place your snaps or magnetic closures.
Stitch: Use a simple straight stitch to bind the layers of fabric together, following the rhythmic Gindi style, or let your needle wander freestyle.
Important Note on Personalization: To create the specific needlebook shown, I used a surface created with the basic method of Gindi/Kantha. Please note that this pattern provides the template to cut and assemble the physical needlebook; it does not include a guide on how to embroider the surface. You are encouraged to use a fabric of your choice for the front surface or add your own personal symbols, words, and motifs as you stitch.

Delivery Time: With standard tracked shipping, orders are typically delivered within the EU in 10 working days or less, and to the rest of the world in 15 working days or less. Once parcels leave Portugal and arrive at their destination, they are delivered by the local postal service. Delivery times may vary depending on local handling. For faster delivery, please choose the express shipping option at checkout.
For international orders, we are not responsible for customs, duties, and taxes.
Returns & Exchanges: Our products are handmade, and each piece carries artisanal qualities. Slight variations in embroidery and finish are natural and reflect the unique stamp of each artisan. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we do accept returns. We request you to send us an email at info@wenlinstudio.com explaining the reason for your return within 7 days after you receive your package. Please remember to also provide us with your name, your address and your order number. After your request has been approved, we will send you an email authorizing you to send us back the products. The email will also include the appropriate instructions and destination address. The products must be received unused and in their original packaging.
Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping cost as well as the duties and taxes on your return.
