This embroidery kit is inspired by Moksha Patam - better known today as Snakes and Ladders - an ancient South Asian game designed to teach moral wisdom. In its earliest form, ladders symbolized virtues that helped the soul ascend toward enlightenment, while snakes represented vices that led to setbacks. Reaching the 100th square marked spiritual liberation - nirvana- which lends this kit its name.

The design is pre-printed in color on a square of linen to help guide your stitching. Using 3 strands of thread throughout, you’ll bring the symbolic layout to life, featuring snakes, ladders, animals, and decorative folk elements.

Once completed, your piece can be sewn into a cushion, framed as a tapestry, or kept as a piece of textile art. The accompanying guide walks you through each step with clarity.

While executing embroideries, it is only natural that the artisans interpret the sketched design and the mock-up embroideries in their unique way and leave a stamp of their own personalities on the product. We believe that these slight differences in our products is a desirable trait, but if you are not happy with your purchase, we will accept returns. We request you to send us an email at info@wenlinstudiolondon.com explaining the reason for your return within 7 days after you receive your package. Please remember to also provide us with your name, your address and your order number. After your request has been approved, we will send you an email authorizing you to send us back the products. The email will also include the appropriate instructions and destination address. The products must be received unused and in their original packaging.
