Shop Update: Small Embroidery Kits & Textiles
First, a warm welcome to the many new subscribers. Thank you for signing up for our newsletter!
I’m very pleased to share a little collection of new things I’ve been working on with artisans in Punjab and Sindh.
I’ve put together a few small embroidery kits, which some of you requested. For these kits, I commissioned embroiderers in Punjab who still follow the meticulous style of Phulkari embroidery. Alongside these, the embroiderers also created beautiful little ornaments with traditional Sindhi mirror embroidery, a style of hanging charm that is very common in the region.
As promised, I’ve restocked the Indigo Khadi Fabric along with a zero-waste tunic digital pattern inspired by Talismanic Vests (a big thank you to the testers who helped me refine it).
I have also hand-painted three designs of art scarves using the ancient recipes of Ajrak. And lastly, I’ve listed the Embroidered Kimono Jacket, which turned out to be a little popular last month.
I hope you enjoy browsing through these bits and bobs. This will be my last shop update of the year. If you don’t hear from me, it’s because I’ll be happily drowned in my reading pile, drawing, and researching about what’s next.
With love and thanks,
Gul
