Wenlin Studio x Rosa Pomar
We're excited to share our latest collaboration with Rosa Pomar on two exclusive hand-embroidered vests inspired by the folklore of Punjab and Portugal.
The Nag (snake) and the Lagarto (lizard) - two creatures deeply rooted in their respective mythologies - have influenced us throughout this project.
Gul embroidered her illustrations using Punjabi folk embroidery techniques on wool vests crafted from Retrosaria Rosa Pomar's Badana yarn. These embroideries embody the duality of movement and stillness, transformation and resilience. The textured wool serves as a canvas for storytelling, where ancient symbols are reinterpreted through embroidery, blending the heritage of Portuguese wool craftsmanship with the artistry of Punjabi embroidery. Each stitch forms a bridge between cultures, whispering tales of survival, adaptation, and the unseen forces that shape our world.
There are only two of these one-of-a-kind vests, hand-embroidered by Gul using hand-dyed Brusca, available exclusively at Retrosaria.
